Domaine Savary de Beauregard is nestled in the hillsides of Bessilles, right on the edge of the Thau. The estate has been producing wine since the 19th century and Christophe Savary de Beauregard is the fifth generation winemaker of his family to run the domaine. The vineyards — 41 hectares grown on clay-limestone soils — enjoy the unique microclimate created by the combination of the summer sea breezes and the northern Tramontane wind, providing hot summer days and cool evenings. Christophe preserves the traditional winemaking methods of his family, crafting fine, elegant and well-balanced wines.
If you close your eyes and slowly draw in the nose of the Savary de Beauregard Picpoul de Pinet, you may believe you are seated on the terrasse of a French bistro, overlooking the Mediterranean. The wine sits in the glass a pale gold color with light green reflections. One gentle swirl releases a bouquet of white orchard fruit tinged with citrus, fresh flowers and a touch of white pepper. The palate is clean and crisp with a blend of green apple and lemon flavors that dance along the tongue, guided by a vibrant, zesty acidity towards a lip-smacking, saline-laced finish.
