The Meyer family has lived in Rhodt, a village in the Pfalz region of Germany, since the Middle Ages. However, it wasn't until 1950 that Karl Hermann Meyer founded the family winery and began bottling his own wine. Today, Stefan Meyer is the third generation to run this 8 hectare estate. Stefan fully respects and continues what he calls the "powerful tradition" his father and grandfather created in the winery, while also embracing innovation and modernization. The Meyer vineyards are located in Rhodt unter Reitburg, a village situated next to the Palatinate Forest. All work in the vineyard is organic, and all Stefan's wines are spontaneously fermented for maximum complexity.
Stefan Meyer's Weisser Burgunder is incredibly aromatic with a nose of white tree and stone fruits kissed with citrus zest. The light-bodied palate is packed with flavors of pear, apricot and white peach that are supported by a lovely acidity and a touch of minerality. This delicious white finishes dry, crisp and refreshing. Enjoy with all varieties of seafood, hearty salads or grilled pork chops served with apples and onions.
