Domäne Wachau is a next-generation wine cooperative situated in the Wachau wine region of Austria. Comprised of over 150 hectares of organic vineyards, Domäne Wachau is only winery in the region to nurture parcels in every well-known single vineyard. Vines of Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Neuberger, Weissburgunder, Müller-Thurgau, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Roter Traminer, Zweigelt and Pinot Noir are cultivated on steep, terraced slopes overlooking the Danube River. These parcels are tended by hand with diligent focus on each vine. Domäne Wachau wines are crafted with precision with an emphasis on purity, freshness and depth.
The Gustav Grüner Veltliner pours a glistening pale yellow displaying aromas of citrus-drizzled orchard and tropical fruits tinged with notes of white flowers and wet stone. The light-bodied palate is dry, crisp and lean, offering mouthwatering flavors of yellow apple, Bosc pear and honeydew melon. These delectable fruits are accented with secondary hints of white pepper and lime zest. A persistent mineral backbone and vivacious acidity guide the wine towards a clean, refreshing finish. Enjoy with an avocado and golden beet salad, most white fish dishes or traditional pork schnitzel with German potato salad.
