Established in 1927, Château Sainte-Croix sits on 50 hectares in the town of Carcès. Family-owned for four generations, the estate was a former fortress built in the 12th century by Cistercian monks. After being purchased by the Pélépol family in 1924, the property stopped contributing grapes to the Carcès cooperative and began making their own wine three short years later. The vineyards are deeply rooted in clayey-calcareous soils that are mixed with sandy deposits. The Pélépol family crafts exquisite wines that are not only textbook Provençal, but are dangerously drinkable and incredibly thirst-quenching!
The Château Sainte-Croix Vin de Pays du Var Rosé is a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Merlot. Light pink in color with a clear, water white rim, this beautiful rosé emits pristine aromas of white peach, raspberries and candied pineapple. On the palate, the wine is light bodied and fruity with a refreshing minerality and bright, energetic finish. Enjoy with a Provençal salad or a warm evening with friends and family.
