Château Moulin Saint-Georges has 7 hectares of vines, planted mostly to Merlot with small amounts of Cabernet Franc on clay-limestone soils just south of the city of Saint-Emilion. The Vauthier family have owned the estate since 1921, and today the fifth generation of the family is in charge, led by the esteemed Alain Vauthier and his daughter, Pauline. Harvest is done by hand and each plot is individually sorted, then all grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in 100% new French oak barrels.

The 2019 Château Moulin Saint-Georges is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Widely regarded as one of the most exceptional vintages of the century, Moulin Saint-Georges’ 2019 delivers a perfect representation of the quality of the growing season at an unbelievable value. In the glass, the wine sits a brilliant, deep ruby with purple highlights throughout. The nose is wonderfully expressive with an amazing purity of ripe blackberries, cassis, clove, allspice and vanilla, kissed with a wisp of graphite.
